Our theatre line brings the worlds of Works District to the stage through human plays, musicals, marionette performances, original songs, theatrical characters, and live storytelling.

Our first production currently in development is The Naming of Port Marel — a darkly comic musical from the world of The Bound, centred on Governor William Bligh, The Dead String Theatre, pirates, marionettes, old enemies, and the dangers of putting history on stage.

We also welcome playwrights, theatre actors, directors and other performers who are interested in these products — or in anything else they discover across Rigger & Trigger — to get in touch.

Governor William Bligh has decided that Rock Towne must improve.

Its workshops will build better things. Its craftsmen will raise their standards. Its people will support the arts. And at the centre of Bligh's new cultural campaign will be an ambitious production at The Dead String Theatre in Port Marel.

The plan is simple enough:

Build the marionettes. Recruit the performers. Prepare the theatre. Get the permissions. Keep the pirates under control. Put on a magnificent show. It does not remain simple for long.

The Naming of Port Marel is a darkly comic stage musical about Governor William Bligh as he attempts to organize a major theatrical production bringing together the craftsmen of Rock Towne, the performers of Port Marel, powerful officials, pirates, leprechauns, marionette makers, theatre workers, and some of the most dangerous personalities in The Bound.
