Premium South American Honey

Inspired by the real South American orchid bee Euglossa cordata, the Euglassa Bee Company is an Attaveran honey-selection house led by the explorer and financier Delfina Euglassa.

Its reputation began when Los Leafcutters asked the Euglassa bees to find an exceptionally rare honey needed to save the young Clara Attin long ago, a member of one of Attavera's most important Leafcutter families.

Their long-distance scouts located the isolated producers and returned with the honey, beginning a lasting friendship between the two houses.

Today, Euglassa travels beyond ordinary trade routes to find, grade, and preserve distinctive honeys from remote regions and little-known bee communities.

Its first real-world releases will be Dark Estate — Harvest No. 1, a dark Argentine honey, followed by Native Reserve — Yateí No. 1, a rare stingless-bee honey.

Dark Estate — Harvest No. 1

Dark Argentine Honey

A deep, full-bodied honey from Argentina, selected for its dark colour and powerful character. Richer and more intense than a delicate floral honey, it offers a bold introduction to the landscapes and honey traditions of South America.

Native Reserve — Yateí No. 1

Stingless Bee Honey

A rare honey made by the small, stingless yateí bee. More fluid and distinctive than familiar hive honey, it is prized for its bright acidity, complex flavour, and deep connection to the forests and traditional honey culture of South America.

These two selections reveal very different sides of the continent: one dark, rich, and commanding; the other rare, vivid, and unfamiliar.

Euglassa Bee Company is led by Delfina Euglassa, head of an old Attaveran bee family renowned for locating rare honeys and maintaining contacts across distant and dangerous territories.

Delfina combines botanical knowledge, exceptional judgment, and financial brilliance. Her family knows isolated bee communities, hidden flowering regions, and varieties of honey scarcely known beyond the places where they are produced.

 

INSPIRED BY A REAL BEE

Casa Euglassa takes its name and character from Euglossa cordata, a remarkable South American orchid bee known for its metallic green colouring and ability to travel extraordinary distances.

The species’ long-range flight, close relationship with orchids, and still-mysterious behaviour inspired a Gran Folarian dynasty of explorers, botanical specialists, honey selectors, and traders capable of reaching places closed to ordinary commerce.
