THE SOUL MINT

Soul Mint Reject Set (7)

From the Collection of Captain Kidd

Not every coin survives the strict inspection of the Soul Mint.

Some strikes fail the containment ring.

Some metals warp during forging.

Some impressions simply do not meet the standards required to hold a soul.

Most rejected coins are melted down immediately.

But the Mint Overseer, Captain Kidd, has a habit of saving a few examples from the scrap bin.

To him they are reminders that even the greatest mint in the world must struggle to forge perfection.

This set contains seven rejected mint strikes, right from Captain Kidd’s personal collection.

What These Coins Are

These coins are official Soul Mint rejects.

They were struck during minting but failed final inspection by overseer Kidd.

Because they cannot safely contain a full soul, they were never released as currency.

Instead they survive as artifacts from the mint itself.

Product Contents

Each pouch contains:

• 7 different rejected Soul Mint coins

• off-center strikes

• double strikes

• incomplete chain rims

• weak impressions

• test blanks

• warped mint coins

• experimental alloy coins

Each coin represents a moment when the Soul Mint nearly created something powerful — but didn’t.

Why Collectors Want Them

These coins offer a rare glimpse into the inner workings of the Soul Mint.

They show what happens when a coin fails the strict standards required to hold a soul.

Because most rejects are melted down, surviving pieces are extremely rare.

Collectors prize them as artifacts of the minting process.

Important Note

These coins never held souls and were never placed into circulation.

They are considered mint curiosities, studied by collectors, pirates, and bankers interested in the strange history of the Soul Mint.

Captain Kidd himself keeps a small number of these pieces as souvenirs from the mint floor.

As he once put it:

"Even the greatest mint in the world has a scrap pile."

The Seven Soul Mint Curiosities

These seven coins represent unusual mint strikes and experimental pieces recovered from the Soul Mint floor and preserved as curiosities.

1. The Crooked Chain

A strike where the containment chain ring shifted during minting.

The chain symbol meant to bind a soul appears warped and uneven.

2. The Double Strike

Stamped twice during the minting process.

Two faint Soul Mint impressions overlap across the surface.

3. The Broken Ring

The outer containment ring cracked during forging.

A reminder that even Gravensteel must be perfectly shaped to hold a soul.

4. The Hollow Mark

A coin struck too lightly.

The symbol of the Soul Mint appears faint, as if the coin almost refused the imprint.

5. The Warped Blank

A coin blank that bent during forging.

The metal never passed inspection.

6. The Ghost Press

A strange strike where the mint symbol appears only partially.

Some say it resembles the shadow of a coin that was never meant to exist.

7. The Mint Floor Coin

A heavily worn test piece recovered from the floor of the Soul Mint workshop.

Its markings are incomplete and mysterious.
